RegPac and QRC are Kicking off 2018!
Why are RegTech solutions so important and what can it do for your business? If you think about the fact that FI's paid a bit more than 3 Billion USD on financial Fines since the Global Financial Crisis and Nine out of Ten global executives believe that the compliance costs in their compliance departments will continue to increase in the next 2 years, it is a valid reason to say, let's think about doing things differently and try to transform our traditional way of working (and thinking) and therefore also transform the respective compliance departments- Let's INNOVATE! Paired with QRC, the world's largest investment company working at the intersection of Blockchain and RegTech, RegPac hosted a Blockchain event featuring keynotes from some of the leading minds in the Blockchain, Risk Management and RegTech space.
Mona kicked off with discussing the role of RegTech in Risk Management, which was followed by a panel discussion that dove more specifically into Blockchain’s role in the space. Moderating the panel was Antonio DeLorenzo, CEO of Funder Exchange (and ex-Swift), and accompanying him was Steve Tunstall, CEO of Inzsure, Keith B.Carter from NUS and Claudia Marcusson of NN Investment Partners (see left to right in picture below).
We then saw three Use Case examples coupled with a guest speech from Pawel Zarnotal. Closing speeches came from Head of SupTech at the MAS, Dr Li Xuchun, and Adam Viziri, CEO of QRC.
First up for the Use Cases was Akim Arhipov, representing BAASIS ID and its all-in-one identity verification platform for financial institutions and governmental agencies.

Next up was Thomas Leiritz, explaining Blockpass' blockchain based identity for the Internet of Everything - a regtech identity generation and verification on-boarding platform for Humans, Devices and Objects.

Our Guest Speaker was Pawel Zarnotel of Coinfirm, talking his mission to provide crypto ventures with KYC and AML solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance for ICOs, exchanges, wallet providers and funds.
