During her time in the banking industry, she became acutely aware of the Regulatory, Operational and Risk Management pain points faced by banks and other Financial Institutions alike. and concluded that many of the same problems could be eliminated more effectively with the use of Regulation Technology (RegTech).

Zoet became convinced that RegTech would become instrumental due to the exponential increase in the number of regulations following the 2008 financial crisis, leading to tremendous increases in company compliance costs paid through fines across a magnitude of industries.
Zoet identified the ever-growing gap between the need for more cost-effective & secure compliance solutions and the static traditional solutions currently implemented. RegTech promises these solutions and therefore will revolutionise the future of the regulatory regime. After identifying many of the RegTech players on a global scale Zoet published them via a digital platform, and so RegPac, the Global RegTech Ecosystem Builder and Knowledge Sharing Platform, was born.
