The Legal Aspects of Blockchain & The Blockchain Symposium

Our Founder & CEO Mona Zoet recently contributed to “The Legal Aspects of Blockchain”, a book co-published by the UNOPS and Blockchainpilots (the Dutch Government). The publication brought 13 authors together, including Mona, on a range of legal aspects of blockchain topics, including identity, data ownerships, cryptocurrencies, and its use in the UN system. On the 26th of December, through the Blockchain Symposium, which was co-organized by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York, UNOPS and Blockchainprojects.nl, the book was launched. During the symposium in New York, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Yoka Brandt received the first copy! Along with the launch, the Blockchain Symposium was scheduled to have several different panel sessions and speeches, all focusing on topics revolving around blockchain. The panel Mona was a part of thoroughly discussed blockchain’s influence throughout the financial services industry.

On November 2018, during the Singapore FinTech Festival, we will be hosting a second launch, in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy. Stay tuned for updates!
